I am sorry, but I get confused. I downloaded, and went to: http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023 as noted, but there was a 404 error message.

    Can you help me?

I really appreciate all the work that everyone does to help me. I am working on my site which will benefit my grandson, who is autistic. My daughter and son-in-law have lost nearly everything since the diagnosis and I want to help.

Thanks to all who do such good work.

    Pat

The Printer+ preview window shows and prints a blank page. I’m not sure if I did the install right since it doesn’t say how in the readme file and the message post it references is gone (404 error).

I need a winZip in order to open this… :C

  37. simonbrown

    April 8, 2011 at 1:14 pm

@darn: If your version of Windows is recent enough to run Paint.NET, it can open ZIP files without any other software. Alternatively, you could use 7-zip.

Thanks for the plugin, I am using Paint.NET v.3.5.8 and when I try to save the animated gif I get an “unspecified error”. The original animated gif (I am basically changing color of frames) is open fine, but I can not save the image as .agif.

There’s no APNG plugin inside the FileTypes folder?

  48. simonbrown

    June 13, 2011 at 1:32 am

@Rageface: It’s called AnimGIF.dll because it used to only do animated GIFs.

I don’t have that thing in the 6th step D:

  51. simonbrown

    July 18, 2011 at 6:56 pm

@Pichu35555vr: It’s called “find target” in XP. I should probably change the instructions based on browser and OS.

thanks ,simon, for this great plug-in. best feature is “That other app…”: finally you can use the classic brush (with paint).

  56. Yo!

    September 13, 2011 at 7:00 pm

It keeps deleting the background after I edit the text, and continue. Why?

  57. tomy

    December 10, 2011 at 11:53 pm

How do I use That Other App? What’s it for?

  58. tomy

    December 10, 2011 at 11:58 pm

One more question, I can save AGIF just fine, but how can I open them?

  59. Brick

    December 18, 2011 at 5:35 pm

@tomy Just rename them from .agif to .gif and use them anyhow you like.

  60. Brick

    December 18, 2011 at 5:43 pm

Simon, thanks a lot. Great work. God bless you!

  61. tomy

    December 20, 2011 at 12:50 am

@Brick I know how to save, but I can’t open agif files and if I name them as .gif and open them Paint.NET renders them as non-animated.

    January 5, 2012 at 7:55 pm

I have a strange problem when using it with paint.net v3.5.10
When saving the .agif file the background (which while editing was transparent) is set to black.
Any idea what could cause this?
